Vidya Nahar, ERYT will discuss and demonstrate several breathing techniques including bandhas (locks) used in Pranayam - Yogic Breath Regulation System. Prana is manifested through your breath. It is your energy flow. Pranayam is conscious control of inhalation, retention, and exhalation of breath. You'll discover that you can actually alter the state of mind and body through right kind of breathing. Regular practice of Pranayam helps prevent frequent sinus infections, runny/blocked noses and helps with relaxation. Each workshop taken with Vidya counts toward "Contact Hour" continuing education requirements by Yoga Alliance for Yoga teachers. Note: Please bring your yoga mat to class.
